Thank you Professor. Very informative video. As a small business owner, the SBC is better however, both Tax Returns must still be filed even though one is still under the threshold of SARS. It is best to remain complaint than to avoid it because in the long haul, it will bite you.
This video helps a lot and is motivating. Thank you so much!
Thank you, important information that is not taught at schools or at any point through all my years of study. It might of encouraged3 many of us to become entrepreneurs
Hi. I really found this very insightful. I need some advice on how to deal with my tax problems. Please help. I have paid thousand to accountants who haven’t help. I am at the point of going to sars and pleading my case myself
Prof. Lester I enjoy your videos. I stand under correction with my following questions, but you will know better as you know the laws better.
You mention with SME’s the gross income/ (turnover) may not exceed R14m pa. Should that not be R20m pa?
You also mention that a company loses it’s SME status when a Shareholder has Shares in OTHER Companies during a year of assessment. What about “de minimis levels of shareholding”?
A few years ago I read the following somewhere and made a note of it, but unfortunately I did not record WHERE I read it: “Companies will NOT be prevented from receiving Small Business Corporation tax relief merely because they have shareholders with de minimis levels of ownership in other companies”. When was this applicable? And why is it not applicable anymore?
Hi Prof. Lester. With a small business corporation what happens to the net after tax profit ? Does it have to become part of retained earnings ? If the owner uses it then will the owner have to pay income tax in his own name on the net after tax profit of the SBC ?
Thank you so much Prof 👨🏫
