Starting watching this… and several times you can tell pieces were omitted.
I saw the documentary once before on TV, the parts that were omitted weren’t anything important so it’s no big deal.
It was too long I’m guessing.
@Mark L Watch it again

I just love how they dressed back then. Timeless and classic. I wish we weren’t so lazy nowadays and brought back these habits from the 1950’s, etc.
I’m 21 and I still dress up to go on planes. I can’t say I dress like that every day tho.
I cringe when I see someone looking bummy on a plane wearing pajamas or something. My thought process has always been this: ancient civilizations, as well as societies from even 200 years ago dreamed and fantasized about being able to do this. Look alive. You’re flying 84 ton metal bird through the sky.
This documentary both warms my heart and breaks it. It warms my heart to see all the magical holsomeness the Walt Disney put into building his legacy but then breaks it to know exactly what it’s become today. Walt wanted his legacy to grow and progress by it’s own merits and not by stealing from other production companies (like the Star wars franchise for example) it’s like everything he tried so hard to create has fallen to ruin, modern day Disney production companies should be ashamed of themselves.
I feel so bad for Walt and George Lucas
Yeah they’re really suffering financially. Not.
Look at it this way. Most if not all of the movies from the golden era are retellings of old tales. The only thing that has changed is the source material is more recongizable to us. I can only assume Disney chose those tales because people were familar with them during that time. Even the movies from the Disney Renaissance are retellings, look at the origins of Lion King.
Disney has given Star Wars a new life. Some would say the franchise was dying before Disney made the purchase. Now people look forward to the new shows that are being produced on Disney plus.
Disney was all about breathing new life into things. The studio pushed the limits of animation which gave it new life. He pushed the limits of amusment parks and we ended up with Thrill Parks which gave “the fair” a new life. The company is currently giving new life to Comicbooks and the Sci-Fi genre. Not to mention the technologcal advancements the company is currently doing to cinmea, StageCraft. I think today Walt would be proud that his company is still pushing limits and breating new life into old concepts and ideas.
@Titan Man ok fair
What a great man he was, he truly was a golden and honest sincere Man, I wish we had more like him, people with honesty, commitment, and a good character 🙂
I agree !! Amen!!
@Ryan Faucette ur right though
@Anonydude 01 I would imagine that isnt true based on how his ideals were pretty liberal for his time. I would absolutely hate it though if im wrong
Thank you Walt Disney for all that you have created!! R.I.P. Walt Disney!
Walt Disney has absolutely made my childhood. His legacy will live on forever❤
@atrain 34007 he wasn’t a racist. He was insensitive but he treated everyone equally and was never hurtful towards people of color. Stop spreading lies

@Smithshowmedia glad you made a video on it 😁
As cornball as it seems especially nowadays (and I’m absolutely guilty of such a thought about an entity like Disney myself) with his live action stuff being so family oriented but I still respect the hell out of a legacy like his
Obviously the man was an entertainer and enjoyed making people laugh about industry person know a person’s just a person with a dream and obviously his king true because we have movies like Cinderella Snow White Ariel Pocahontas and many others Because of this one man who took a chance on his dreams made it into a place where he made another dream which is Walt Disneyland there there’s your definitive way to define someone they were a happy person at least I hope so
;-: rip Walt Disney, he was a great man, with a passion
As a child I remember much of this in real life. He was truly a great man. In some ways, he never grew up. God rest him….
