13:35 fact check update needed? If you don’t agree at least edit the description with a link to a source that consistently keeps this information updated. I was truly shocked when neither youtube nor instagram showed up at all in these statistics.

I would like to conclude this video.

    1. Doing $10/hour jobs
    2. Blame
    3. Worrying about going out of business
    4. Constantly think about what competitors are doing
    5. Turn off notifications
    6. Constantly hiring new people for new positions because you don’t pay well
    7. Thinking about people who left you
    8. Non-effictive social media use : Newsfeed on facebook
    9. Wasting time with office butterflies
    10. Too many meetings
    11. TV
12.Taking calls from friends during business hours
    13. Chasing the big account that you think will change your life instead of the small sales
    14. Reading the wrong books
    15. Too much partying

I highly recommend you to watch this video.

I find this video when I am burnt out and feel like giving up on my entrepreneurial pursuit. Now
I know why I burnt out. Time to incorporate some habit changes. Thank you so much Patrick! Thank you for making meaningful videos that ACTUALLY teach something. Cheers!

I think the main part is ‘constantly’ focusing on competitors. If you ‘never’ glance at your competitors and make sure you are crushing them, they could overtake you because you just don’t have a ‘bead’ on what the competition is doing at all.

Don’t ‘obsess’ about the competition but definitely take a look at them every month or quarter.

Thank you so much for the fruitful motivation. Certainly opened my mind in looking at things in a different dimension. I personally come out with my own quotes to consistently remind myself of my action plan for reaching my goals. Yes, I do face challenges in my business but after watching your video, I am clear on where I have to make changes on. Please, do continue to inspire as many of us are benefiting from your sharing. Thanks once again. Regards Nirmala from Malaysia.

Thank you for your videos. Many things I relate to many great points you make from my own trial and errors through the years working for others.
Especially chasing the sales of big contracts versus little ones through the years with other employers.
Listening to my intuition and identifying and creating my small business cleaning company objectives and plan to follow them was the best thing I ever did.
Working for employers is great and can provide whatever employees seek.
But for those who are not fulfilled, being an entrepreneur maybe the only way to go.

Pat, Thanks for the great value you put online for (future) entrepreneurs! By far the most valuable channel for me ever! As i’m starting a business besides my full-time job, I need to leverage my time. However in this early stage of the business I feel that i need to make the contacts with my prospects and eventually sell to them. Do you think I should outsource this and focus myself on growing the business or should outsourcing sales be to harmful for the business in an early stage. Hope hearing from you! Thanks again for all the value!

I’m a coder that wants to start my own business. I worked for corporates all my life but now I decided to take the plunge. This video is a real wake up call. Thank you. A few points hit me in the face. God bless.

I believe that the most difficult job in the world is the reeducation and reconstruction of the mind and I applaud and appreciate the effort VALUETAINMENT is pushing in to educate and re-orient minds. INSPIRING!!!
Question: How do you measure your productivity: completing your tasks @ hand or avoiding these “time wasters”?

Pat. I am so glad to see Point # 13. I have seen many competitors chasing big contracts & leaving the small jobs. Meanwhile we are taking the small jobs, stacking them & BOOM they add up to large revenues. Its an effective strategy, we have grown our business that way. Our team is often stretched lean and thin trying to complete those jobs, so we are ultra efficient. Awesome.
