Young And Boss: 16-year-old Entrepreneurs Of Slime & Sneakers | On The Red Dot | Full Episode
Two 16-year-olds are turning social media trends into profitable businesses for themselves. Ang Jia Xin has been selling her own brand of homemade slime since she was 14. Better known as Bobbasliime to her 29,000 followers on Instagram, Jia Xin must rely on her unflagging spirit to literally churn out and sell 1000 tubs of slime each month. Remus Er buys limited edition sneakers with the help of some nifty bots and flips them for a $20K to $30K profit on a good month. But with O-Levels looming and a global pandemic affecting sales, how will the two young entrepreneurs overcome the challenges of running their own business, juggle the stress of school exams and find the time to just be teenagers?

The fact that she pointed out and featured other slime creators/sellers as well is so admirable, this girl is a gem.
Slime girl is more inspirational than sneaker reseller boy.
but sneakers are much more profitable
Sneaker boy makes more money, so how is the girl more inspirational?
@gowon’s line in PTT Buying and reselling isint scamming, its pretty much the same thing as buying and then selling shares in the market for a profit. So you could say that buying sneakers are an investment, and once the price increased you can make a profit.
He is a middle man. Just look at eBay and Amazon.
tbh, sneakers guy’s boastful personality was probably the turn-off. if he had been more humble, we would’ve liked him just the same.
If you think about it, there could’ve been people saving and wanting those shoes so bad only to have them taken away by a reseller. It’s so annoying and sad. The girl makes her own slime and that’s awesome. Go girl! Don’t go shoe reseller!
The shoe reseller is more successful. He has a higher chance of living a better life than the girl. Get your logic straight.
Resellers also sell shoes that are no longer being sold. If you are an active shoe collector, you will understand. Many shoe collectors buy from resellers or on Amazon.
Shoe resellers buy stuff that has high demand thus new things or shoe price suddenly dropping which has good demand and sell it for a lot more, if you save up for it the price probably was stable which means you would have enough money to buy the one the shoe reseller is selling as the price would be a bit more than the average price so you still could buy it, just find a person.
cna pls know what your are doing, showing how good and independent sneakerheads are with bots are really a huge disappointment and a big turndown to the sneaker culture. Lets just say this, you are basically supporting those that take shortcuts and sort of ‘cheat’ to purchase this sneakers.
@Imafkingbeast ok
@xixia yes it is.
@Imafkingbeast no? 🤨
@xixia it is the right way if you make a lot of cash?
If he didnt use bots he would be one of the people being terrorized by bots so the only way to get it is by bots, yeah its disappointing by how else will he be able to get good profits, almost every shoe reseller would have to resort to bots
all for the entrepreneurship but these resellers using bots really spoil the sneakers game
And those good bots cost by the hundreds only resellers are willing to pay for that to resell and get profits in return…
Riiiiight? Can’t agree more! If it’s at least without bots and they win it fair and square I have nothing to say. But using bots is just 😡😩
Trueyy
@Yo Mama bots are used for buying high in demand products. Since they’re bots, you can programme them to buy anything and any amount in a matter of seconds right after the product goes on sale.
nice profile pic
slime girl: really hustle with her business. she has demanding school and slime work. her business is about marketing and creativity. she pours her heart and soul into her business and products.
sneaker boy: in a competitive industry, but send horrible message especially about the identify and copy what the celebrity do. they literally just try to buy a shoe really competitively. his business depends on speed and demand.
Speed and demand = profits.
How is this a horrible message.
@Sreehari Suresh ikr
@Alpha DisastrousTie exactly, don’t be hard on the dude, he suffers too.
so your telling me in grade obsessed Singapore he doesn’t have demanding school work
much respect for the slime girllll!!!! 🙂 hope u gain more customers through this video !
Can i just say the lady that sells slime, your handwriting is AWESOME.
Yepp
Narrater: she has to sell 700 hundred slimes in the next week-
Me who already knows my friend who frequently buys slimes has already bought at least one of each slime from all the stores Jia Xin mentioned: *yeah I don’t think that will be a challenge-*
ask her
I used to be obsessed with slime back then but I had no idea people are still interested in it.
this is a year ago but i heard some therapist’s use slime as a stress relief toy for their clients + its just a fun thing to play with
WOW!! Well done kiddos. It is a great learning curve to help you as you mature. I would 100% support my children if they have these type of personality. These kids understand the supply and demand concept and not many teenagers understand that. Best of luck to both of you, and may you continue your success for a long life ahead.
Although it’s great that they are starting businesses. The boy in particular isn’t really doing things ethically.he is practicing something called scalping and reselling the products at a higher price. You are basically stealing from the business and its overall wrong. Not to mention he is using bots to get the products first and buy a abundant amount. The girl on the other hand I fully support.
people of Singapore, please support slime girl and buy her stuff. It’s supporting her small business and I’m sure it won’t cost that much
my parents won’t let me
don’t worry I actually bought some of her slime and it’s pretty good
Slime went from barrel-o-slime to like dozens of varieties
ikr
both of them are so grateful and appreciative of their parents even though they earn so much. such good kids!! :))
His actual skill is tapping on add to cart button
Ok and? He makes more money with little effort. Success like that leads to a much better life. The slime girl will eventually have to find another job because she wouldn’t make a lot of money.
If he’s consistent on buying shoe drops then he probably uses bots, so not even tapping add to cart
Well I wish I would earn that much by just pressing buttons
Dude reselling sneakers making it hard for people that actually love sneakers to get it. As much as people are doing it and making it a “business” it doesn’t make it right. Glorifying it is even worse. The fact that he is proud of it irks me so much. He’s exactly how i imagine a reseller to look like lol i hope people are smart enough not to buy from reseller. If everyone stop buying from resellers, it’s everyone’s gains instead of them.
@I love kids 3000 sneakers ain’t the same as collectibles since they are meant to be worn, and more and more recently, intended to be affordable by the designers. It’s not like Air Diors or smt which were never meant to be affordable.
+50 limited so why wouldn’t you
@Adore You yea and how the hell does the average person afford another pair when every single nike release ends up on the resale market for at least $500 due to these selfish incels
It’s a shoe, just buy another pair. This happens with everything across the world.
@Adore You ikr
If you wanted to start a business, first you need to have the skill set and knowledge regarding the thing you are trying to sell. Then the next most important step is to have your parent trust, if your parent don’t even let you open your own bank account then there’s no point on starting one.
@WeiWen WWE not everywhere
You can open a bank account without your parents knowing after your 16th birthday
@Cat Stalker ok
Nothing, just sharing my own personal experience.
What is your point?
Funny how cna is glorifying sneaker reselling, especially when they do it with bots..
its hard to do it without any machine or bots
whats bots
keris yes because they use bots in order to guarantee they can purchase the sneakers because it’s faster when you use a bot then any normal person can checkout. Then those people who use bots will resell the shoes over retail price sometimes up to 500% over retail price is possible. It just takes away everyone else’s chance to cope some sneakers for a reasonable price and it ruins the mood kind of cause you gotta pay so much to someone else just for sneakers that were affordable before.
@A lone cozy dot robots
using bots to buy limited edition stuff and reselling it is basically a ripoff
Cry 😂😂😂😂
@YES I AM yeah
it’s not a rip off if the price actually increases like bruh I bet over 70% of you guys don’t understand business
Everyone uses bots so if you can’t beat em, Join em
If you have parents who can help you and you are young it is probably a great time to start a business.
