Young And Boss: 16-year-old Entrepreneurs Of Slime & Sneakers | On The Red Dot | Full Episode

Two 16-year-olds are turning social media trends into profitable businesses for themselves. Ang Jia Xin has been selling her own brand of homemade slime since she was 14. Better known as Bobbasliime to her 29,000 followers on Instagram, Jia Xin must rely on her unflagging spirit to literally churn out and sell 1000 tubs of slime each month. Remus Er buys limited edition sneakers with the help of some nifty bots and flips them for a $20K to $30K profit on a good month. But with O-Levels looming and a global pandemic affecting sales, how will the two young entrepreneurs overcome the challenges of running their own business, juggle the stress of school exams and find the time to just be teenagers?

@gowon’s line in PTT Buying and reselling isint scamming, its pretty much the same thing as buying and then selling shares in the market for a profit. So you could say that buying sneakers are an investment, and once the price increased you can make a profit.

If you think about it, there could’ve been people saving and wanting those shoes so bad only to have them taken away by a reseller. It’s so annoying and sad. The girl makes her own slime and that’s awesome. Go girl! Don’t go shoe reseller!

Shoe resellers buy stuff that has high demand thus new things or shoe price suddenly dropping which has good demand and sell it for a lot more, if you save up for it the price probably was stable which means you would have enough money to buy the one the shoe reseller is selling as the price would be a bit more than the average price so you still could buy it, just find a person.

cna pls know what your are doing, showing how good and independent sneakerheads are with bots are really a huge disappointment and a big turndown to the sneaker culture. Lets just say this, you are basically supporting those that take shortcuts and sort of ‘cheat’ to purchase this sneakers.

If he didnt use bots he would be one of the people being terrorized by bots so the only way to get it is by bots, yeah its disappointing by how else will he be able to get good profits, almost every shoe reseller would have to resort to bots

@Yo Mama bots are used for buying high in demand products. Since they’re bots, you can programme them to buy anything and any amount in a matter of seconds right after the product goes on sale.

slime girl: really hustle with her business. she has demanding school and slime work. her business is about marketing and creativity. she pours her heart and soul into her business and products.
sneaker boy: in a competitive industry, but send horrible message especially about the identify and copy what the celebrity do. they literally just try to buy a shoe really competitively. his business depends on speed and demand.

  4. Soraine

Narrater: she has to sell 700 hundred slimes in the next week-
Me who already knows my friend who frequently buys slimes has already bought at least one of each slime from all the stores Jia Xin mentioned: *yeah I don’t think that will be a challenge-*

WOW!! Well done kiddos. It is a great learning curve to help you as you mature. I would 100% support my children if they have these type of personality. These kids understand the supply and demand concept and not many teenagers understand that. Best of luck to both of you, and may you continue your success for a long life ahead.

Although it’s great that they are starting businesses. The boy in particular isn’t really doing things ethically.he is practicing something called scalping and reselling the products at a higher price. You are basically stealing from the business and its overall wrong. Not to mention he is using bots to get the products first and buy a abundant amount. The girl on the other hand I fully support.

Ok and? He makes more money with little effort. Success like that leads to a much better life. The slime girl will eventually have to find another job because she wouldn’t make a lot of money.

Dude reselling sneakers making it hard for people that actually love sneakers to get it. As much as people are doing it and making it a “business” it doesn’t make it right. Glorifying it is even worse. The fact that he is proud of it irks me so much. He’s exactly how i imagine a reseller to look like lol i hope people are smart enough not to buy from reseller. If everyone stop buying from resellers, it’s everyone’s gains instead of them.

    1. Austin Ching

@I love kids 3000 sneakers ain’t the same as collectibles since they are meant to be worn, and more and more recently, intended to be affordable by the designers. It’s not like Air Diors or smt which were never meant to be affordable.

  7. Cat Stalker

If you wanted to start a business, first you need to have the skill set and knowledge regarding the thing you are trying to sell. Then the next most important step is to have your parent trust, if your parent don’t even let you open your own bank account then there’s no point on starting one.

    1. keris yes because they use bots in order to guarantee they can purchase the sneakers because it’s faster when you use a bot then any normal person can checkout. Then those people who use bots will resell the shoes over retail price sometimes up to 500% over retail price is possible. It just takes away everyone else’s chance to cope some sneakers for a reasonable price and it ruins the mood kind of cause you gotta pay so much to someone else just for sneakers that were affordable before.
